How to connect

1

Enable the Google Play Android Developer API

  1. Open Google Cloud → APIs & Services → Library
  2. Search for Google Play Android Developer API and click Enable
2

Create a service account

In Google Cloud → APIs & Services → Credentials:

  1. Click Create credentials → Service account
  2. Name it ReviewTower, click Continue, skip the role step, click Done
  3. Open the new service account → Keys tab → Add key → Create new key → JSON
  4. Download the JSON file — you'll upload it to ReviewTower shortly
3

Grant access in Google Play Console

In Google Play Console → Users and Permissions:

  1. Click Invite new users
  2. Enter the service account's email address (found in Google Cloud under your service account)
  3. Under Account permissions, enable View app information and download bulk reports and Reply to reviews
  4. Click Send invitation
4

Add your credentials in ReviewTower

Go to Settings → Store Credentials:

  1. Upload your service account JSON key file
  2. Click Save credentials — ReviewTower validates and encrypts it immediately
5

Connect your Android app

  1. Go to the Apps page and click Add App — give it a name (e.g. your app's display name)
  2. Click + Add Android on the app you just created
  3. Enter your app's package name (e.g. com.example.myapp) — the Google Play API doesn't return a list of apps, so this must be entered manually
  4. Save — ReviewTower will begin syncing reviews
