Syncing Reviews

ReviewTower fetches new reviews automatically on a schedule — and lets you trigger an immediate sync whenever you need fresh data.

Syncs run in the background. You do not need to have the dashboard open for syncs to occur.

Manual sync

Click Sync now on the Overview page to trigger an immediate fetch for all connected apps. A spinner appears while the sync is running. Results appear as soon as the job completes — typically 5–30 seconds depending on review volume.

Platform constraints

App Store

App Store (iOS)

Apple delivers reviews via the App Store Connect API with no hard recency limit. ReviewTower fetches new reviews since the last successful sync.

Play Store

Google Play (Android)

The Android Publisher API only exposes reviews from the last 7 days and requires at least 10 reviews before the API becomes available. Older reviews are retained in ReviewTower from prior syncs.

Sync failures

If a sync fails (e.g. invalid credentials, API rate limit), a warning badge appears in the sidebar. Hover over it to see the error message. Fixing the credential or waiting for the rate-limit window to pass will resolve the issue on the next sync cycle.
