Replying to iOS Reviews

ReviewTower posts developer replies to App Store reviews through the App Store Connect API. Replies appear publicly on your App Store listing.

Requirements

  • An App Store Connect API key with at least the Customer Support role. The Account Holder or Admin role also works.

If you haven’t yet connected your iOS app, follow the iOS integration guide first.

How to reply

  1. 1Open the Reviews page and find the review you want to respond to.
  2. 2Click the Reply button on the review card.
  3. 3Type your response (up to 5,970 characters — Apple’s limit).
  4. 4Click Post reply.

ReviewTower immediately calls the App Store Connect API. The reply is visible on the App Store within a few minutes.

Common errors

403 Forbidden

Your API key does not have the Customer Support role. Regenerate the key with the correct role in App Store Connect.

409 Conflict

A reply already exists. Use the edit flow instead.
